I was trying to decide what I'd most like to know about Japan / your experiences over there... and I wasn't quite sure what my most pressing question was. Here's a few... Are things more expensive there? Is it easy to make friends with people who speak a different language? Do many people speak English? How much Japanese have you learned? What do people do for fun? Same as here?
Thanks for the tour. I still can't get over the bathrooms / no dryers thing haha.
Great questions! Things are a tad more expensive. Maybe about 5 or 10% more. Food is sold in much smaller portions than in Canada but priced accordingly. Now I think its ridiculous how big our food is ahhhahahaha
No it is not easy to make friends with strangers in a shy culture, even though most people are very friendly here.
Very few people speak English but when you find someone who does its AWESOME.
I have not learned much so far. I can survive but I cant hold a conversation. I need to work on my reading and start taking classes again.
Japanese have a variety of different activities. Karaoke is huge here (even old people do it) but nobody knows what minigolf is. Arcades are also popular but they are mostly claw machines and card battle games. Baseball, soccer, and tennis seem to be the most popular sports to play.
Does the rain over there have that same smell as the rain over here?
